Often a childs first experience away from home, Woodlands Early Childhood Program is a friendly and supportive environment in which children are challenged with exciting possibilities and develop positive attitudes about learning. Woodlands Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten blend learning centers with teacher-directed instruction in early language and mathematics skills. Socially, the emphasis during these years is on self-reliance, mutual respect, and concern for one another through sharing and verbal expression of feelings and needs. As they prepare for first grade and beyond, Senior Kindergarten students learn to enjoy school as a place where they are academically challenged and valued as individuals.

Woodland Presbyterian School believes that our children are individual miracles from God. Preparing our students for higher education and providing them with the knowledge that will let each reach his or her own individual potential is the basis for the curriculum we offer. Our curriculum is designed to foster both independent and collaborative thinking skills while building strong self-esteem and good citizenship. Every area of your childs education, from math and science, to literature, art, music and even health and athletics, is a planned progression that combines knowledge, consideration, teamwork and an awareness of that subjects importance in todays world. History and social studies are presented to instill a sense of place and belonging while also prompting questions and conclusions. Bible, computer sciences, foreign languages, and other classes prepare our students for new technology and shrinking geographical borders.
We believe in educating your children in an atmosphere of fairness, consistency, love, and respect. We strive to instill a positive attitude toward learning, and we encourage each and every student to discover the individual, special gifts that God has created in them.
