Winnie Wood Child Development Center is a not-for-profit child care facility located at 104 Commercial Boulevard in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Winnie Wood is staffed by qualified, caring professionals who lead the children in age-appropriate activities and encourage them to investigate the world in which they live. The Winnie Wood philosophy is To provide our children with the opportunity to enhance the quality of their development by offering programs that foster social, emotional, physical and educational growth.

Like all NCDC facilities, Winnie Wood uses The Creative Curriculum approach to help us guide and plan developmentally appropriate activities for young children. The curriculum incorporates the latest research on early childhood education and encourages teachers to make learning experiences meaningful for each child. Our Staff develops comprehensive lesson plans that promote positive outcomes for all children.
