Waseca Learning Environment

The Waseca School provides a Montessori-based education with a focus on community and diversity
for children between the ages of infancy and nine years old. All Waseca programs incorporate Montessori
methods of self-discovery through specially designed materials. Each Waseca program allows each child
to develop at his or her own pace according to individual learning styles. Independence is encouraged by a
respectful staff. All Waseca lead teachers are Montessori trained and certified. Each Waseca program
includes breakfast for students arriving by 8:30am, a hot, nutritious lunch with an emphasis on fresh
vegetables, whole grains, and fruits, and an afternoon snack.
