Preschool in Junction City, KS 66441
The creation and implementation of USD 475 Child Development Center is the first of its kind in Junction City where a Public School District, the US Military, and a private, not-for-profit organization collaborated to construct a child care center. Each of these agencies was instrumental in the funding, design and development of the center.
USD 475 Child Development Center opened March 3, 2009 to all military, hospital, and USD 475 employees. In June of 2009, the Center was opened to the community to provide a much needed service.
The Center is open to serve all families in the community and surrounding area. Special considerations are made to families who are in the military, TFI Community Child Care, Inc., and USD 475 employees due to the collaborative efforts.

The USD 475 Child Development Centers curriculum is a fundamental part of the care and support offered to the children who walk through our door. The center is pleased to be able to offer Curiosity Corner Curriculum for pre-school age children. The curriculum is designed to achieve Kindergarten readiness by engaging three- and four-year-olds in literacy-focused, problem-solving activities.
Creative Curriculum is the chosen curriculum for infants and toddlers. Parents may not think that a curriculum is needed for infants and toddlers, but this is a very important time for childrens ongoing development. Creative Curriculum offers assessments and skill building techniques that guides the teacher in taking the small progressive steps to ensuring your child has mastered the skill before moving on to a more progressive skill.
