The Student Parent Center (SPC) is a state licensed child care center with the goal of providing quality, low cost care for children of students at the University of Missouri. Our philosophy is that children learn, grow and develop through play, exploration and experimentation. Themes and activities are developmentally appropriate and focus on the childs overall development (physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative). Research shows that children learn best through manipulation and discovery, and not through direct teaching. Therefore, children will engage in hands on and sensory based activities.
