Testimonials
Eli F. from Brookline, MA Jacky helped me go from a certain failing great to a top grade in the class. He helped me improve my poor math skills, lack of physics background and helped with me with many test taking strategies. Jacky was able to spend a tremendous amount of time with me in person and through email as well. I would definitely use him again!
Michael C. from Watertown, MA Part Two (updated as of 8 January 2012 session) - For both physics & geometry (grade 9): Jacky helps to make good connections to promote better understanding of concepts & drills (homework or other exercises). Some days our student is less than fully-engaged or not quite 'with it'; yet Jacky keeps a positive energy with patience to help work through to better insight. His approach also helps give more confidence so our student feels more capable of learning & solving problems with her own initiative. A good healthy balance is achieved. Part One - We have had Jacky in tutoring sessions for high school (grade 9) Physics & Geometry with several sessions. Based on our observations & direct experience to date: - he provides excellent instruction, explanation & support; - he demonstrates illustrations & basic concepts well; - his style is steady & patient, yet lively enough to keep it interesting & engaging; - he shows discipline & the value of sustained concentration without a break (sessions are 90 minute to 2 hours straight), which sets a fine example for the student; - he seems to have a good insight as to what method of support will work best with the student; - he has been punctual & also flexible (adjusting to our requests for changed times). Overall he is top level across the board; excellent.
