I have a wealth of experience working with students from all kinds of backgrounds and age groups. In addition, I am also licensed in Special Education and English. I try to cater the lessons and extra help to each student’s particular strengths and areas where they need support. I am very flexible, but I do prefer to have at least 8 hours notice if there is a change in the schedule….

Tom developed an individual study program with my son who is in the 5th grade. Some examples, Tom would use flash cards for Social Studies. For Math, Tom would bring worksheets to review fractions and work with different strategies for breaking down fractions to the simplest form. Another example, Tom assisted on a science project in which he showed him different ways to lay out and develop a theme. The project was about Owls. Tom is patient and communicated openly about our son's strengths and weaknesses. Our son enjoyed working with Tom. He learned a lot of good fundamentals and strategies to take to the next level - 6th grade.
