I am a retired university teacher of mathematics with 20 plus years of experience. For a start I need to know your needs and expectation as well as the subject matter for the tutorial. Once passed this step I determine the appropriate strategy for the case. I use sketches, diagrams, charts, etc to explain in an everyday language the subject trying to use as much as possible examples of the real life.
