She is extremely reasonably priced, and her sessions usually run a little over an hour (about 15 minutes or so), so I definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth. She is always on time for each meeting, and she is very easy to reach via email/text/Kakao. She is flexible with meeting times, and I have never had a problem rescheduling and/or canceling if something comes up (granted, I always try to give her at least 24 hours notice when this happens, so I cannot comment on how she handles last-minute cancellations). She is also flexible with meeting locations, and she has even offered to have Skype sessions when one of us is scheduled to be out of town. We study from Korean textbooks (written completely in Hangul), grammar/vocabulary worksheets (combination of English and Hangul), and Korean audio clips; she provides her students with their own personal copies of the materials. A typical lesson for me is as follows: read out loud from the textbook and then translate for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, study grammar concepts and new vocabulary from the worksheets for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, and wrap up with a conversation in Korean using the topics we just covered for approximately 10 to 20 minutes. This is the style that works for me, but since it may not work for everyone, Cathryn is willing to tailor her lessons to the student's preferences. In terms of personality, Cathryn is very friendly and easy to talk to. She doesn't make me feel embarrassed when I ask questions or mess up the pronunciation of a word. She can be a little blunt at times, but her "tell it as it is" attitude has taught me things about my own learning style that I would not have otherwise known. It is obvious that she does private tutoring because she enjoys teaching and building relationships with her students. All in all, I highly recommend Cathryn as a tutor for anyone who is serious about learning to speak Korean.
