Hula Dancing, Spanish And Tagalog for Preschoolers / School-Agers

Hi everyone! I really enjoy being a Spanish and Music & Movement Teacher in a private preschool and I would like to extend my repertoire by tutoring. I also do Ballroom Dancing, Hula and Tahitian. I am a member of a group that performs Hula in festivals and private parties. I am excited to share my talent and abilities to the younger generation most especially to the preschoolers and school-agers. Aside from Spanish, I can also tutor Filipino/Tagalog language even to older people.

Marisa C. from Severn, MD Leah has made every step of this process enjoyable. We were looking for a Spanish tutor for our seven-year-old son and after reading tons of profiles, Leah was by far the best fit. She always made sure to answer my emails filled with multitudes of questions. She came over a few days prior to her scheduled appointment time to familiarize herself with the area as well as with my son, she didn't want to get lost on her first day and she wanted to make sure our son was comfortable with her. She came prepared with lessons and visual aids (very important when teaching younger learners). The material was age-appropriate and I truly feel like his interest in the subject is a result of the energy that Leah brings with her. I wouldn't not change one thing about our experience with her. What I consider to be a true testament to her value was when, after 30 minutes, Leah asked our son if he was getting tired and wanted a break and he responded, "No way, this is fun." It was music to a mother's ears! Our son can't wait for Leah to come back next week.

Tabitha D. from Laurel, MD I had my first lesson with Senora Leah. My 5 year old was attentive and happy to learn Spanish. She sang Spanish songs and had easy conversations with her. We went over a variety of topics for example, colors, shapes, numbers, and Verbs that she could act out, like "jump" and "run". The baby, 19 months, was present, hopefully learning as well but not attentive. She didn't mind the distraction of the baby and tried to work with her as possible. My goal is for both girls to learn. After she left my daughter was happy about what she learned. She enjoyed doing the Spanish word coloring paper and was fine to practice the words the following day with me.

Janeen G. from Columbia, MD Leah was great!! She came over a couple days in advance to meet us and was very excited to begin. On tutoring day, we had to change plans as a result of my work schedule but Leah was very flexible. We were pleased with the lesson.

Elizabeth O. from Laurel, MD My husband and I are adult students and we really enjoy our sessions. We are starting with the basics, but we are confident we will be able to have a conversation in a few months time. We recommend, Leah!

April H. from Baltimore, MD My daughter went for an hour session with Leah. Leah is teaching my daughter Tagalog. The first session was fun. Leah was patient and helped my daughter review a broad variety of words to translate to Tagalog. She had pictures, and fabrics that kept my 6 year old interested. I'm excited to see her progress.

SAINI H. from Hanover, MD Leah is a great Spanish teacher who comes prepared for her lessons. She works very patiently with my daughter while teaching her the basics with lots of visual aids. She never gets impatient or angry, but works really hard with the various teaching aids to capture my daughter's interest. She also engages the child with sing along songs and stuffed animals, especially, "Super Mono the Monkey." I would surely recommend Leah to anyone who is looking for a great Spanish instructor!
