Elba V. from Buffalo Grove, IL Before contacting Mr. Michael, we were desperate: our daughter was failing AP Calculus and everyday became a struggle for her in and out of the classroom. Endlessly searching the internet, we finally found Mr. M and begun classes at our accommodation. We immediately saw progress from just a couple hours of tutoring a week in her grades, her ability to actually complete her homework, and progress reports he would send us after each session. Mr. M spends the time not only showing her how to solve the difficult problem at hand, but spent the time until she fully understood the topic. He also became in sync with the concepts taught at school so the tutoring wouldn't confuse our daughter. Michael M. was a great tutor and if my daughter?s increase of 4 letter grades isn't proof, I don?t know what is. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Certainly highly recommended.

Jeanne H. from Des Plaines, IL Michael is a very responsive, flexible and reliable tutor. He is patient and thorough when working with his students. Michael tutored my 8th grade son in prepapration for his high school math placement test. Although my son began his sessions with Michael just a couple of weeks before the placement test, Michael taught him enough Algebra 1 (which my son had not, for the most part, learned yet in his 8th grade math class) to help him place in the more advanced/Algebra II class for his freshmen year in high school. My son enjoyed working with Michael and will work with Michael again if/when he needs extra help keeping up with any of his advanced math classes in high school.

Anne K. from Lake Zurich, IL I chose Mike because my son needed help in AP calculus. My son had never had troubles before in math, but that meant he never learned how to study it or to ask for help. He needed help getting back to build the foundation, and then to catch up in order to pass his class. Mike was incredibly patient, a good personality fit (direct, straightforward, but not overbearing), and very knowledgeable. He also was able to frame both the concepts, and the process of learning, well for my son. He met my son at a nearby Starbucks and was reliable and flexible in scheduling. My son passed AP-Calc BC (hooray!), barely, because Mike helped him do well on the final despite my son's lack of homework completion. In addition, he scored a 4 on the AP exam for Calc-BC, with a note that it would be a 5 for the Calc-AB version. Finally, he scored extremely well in his college math placement test and is in the top math for mechanical engineers. So, it seems that my son now does have calculus well within his mental tool set. My daughter is a completely different personality, but I will still call Mike if and when she needs any math help as well. I would recommend him without any hesitation.
