On a daily basis the children will engage in hands-on learning opportunities to develop their language, literacy, math, motor, social and science skills. The children will be part of a school-readiness environment that will build confidence, community, empathy, and facilitate a lifelong love for learning. Children will participate in art, music and movement, dramatic play, sign-language, sensory play, yoga, cooking, science exploration, literacy, writing, math activities, and outdoor fun. We will provide an AM and PM snack. We ask that the family provides a packed lunch. The morning will be filled with guided hands-on learning activities. Following lunch time the children will have quiet reading time then followed by free choice/centers. The children will be part of a wrap around" program that will be consistent in teachers, peers, and classroom. We will be using the guidelines of GOLD which is used by the St. Vrain Valley School District, along with other learning tools such as Story Book Journey, Zoo Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears.
