The Little Light House

The mission of the Little Light House is to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families, and their communities. We accomplish this mission by providing tuition-free educational and therapeutic services to children with special needs from ages 0-6. The Little Light House has been a part of Tulsa since October 3, 1972 (Its our 40th birthday this year!). What began with one teacher, five students, and five volunteers has grown into a nationally recognized developmental center for children with special needs with over 40 staff members serving 64 students alongside many volunteers. The LLH does not charge tuition and receives money only from private sources, such as foundations and grants. The LLH does not receive funding from government sources or the United Way.

Special Needs:
Children, from birth to the chronological age of six with physical and mental challenges causing a developmental delay in one or more areas of development are eligible for Little Light House services. Conditions which typically create these challenges are Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and sensory deprivations such as blindness.
