At Sunshine we believe in teaching children to be kind, polite, honest and respectful through gentle guidance, encouragement, positive influence and great examples, rather than through harsh discipline or punishment. We believe that children learn through hands-on experiences. We believe that an ideal learning environment should be fun, memorable, and help the children to grow and develop systematically and well-balanced in all aspects physically, socially, emotionally, morally, and intellectually. We encourage the participation and collaboration of the children and we respect and appreciate the ideas, suggestions, and creativity of each child. We design our activities carefully to stimulate childrens thinking, creativity, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
We believe parents and family play a critical role in the overall learning and development of a child. Parents are the childrens most important teachers and role models. We believe a great childcare program should be closely tied to the participation and support of the parents.
