St. Stephens Nursery School provides a clean, safe and nurturing environment for children ages 15 months to five years.
Our goal is to support each child as he or she makes the important transition from being at home to becoming part of a school-based program.
St. Stephen’s strives to meet the individual needs of each student and his or her families. Our flexible schedule, including the option of early drop off and daily lunch bunch, gives parents the opportunity to choose the best fit for their busy lives.

At St. Stephen’s Nursery School we prepare the children to separate confidently from their parents before they enter Kindergarten, and to communicate effectively with their teachers and other children. Our students learn to cooperate with others, identify alphabet letters, follow directions, have fun with a group of their peers, and build the physical and mental stamina necessary to stay engaged through the school day. We also emphasize the importance of creativity and extracurricular activities. Included in the tuition are weekly gymnastics and music classes. SSNS has a low child to teacher ratio, which enables our staff to meet our students individual physical and emotional needs.
Our teaching staff is highly experienced; the staff will coach the children in the discovery of new ideas and facts that will not only aid the children in learning to play and to increase their social skills, but also will encourage them to be excited about learning. In addition, multi-age classrooms encourage the older, more competent students to assist the others.
