Speas Elementary Prekindergarten Program

Welcome to the Speas Pre-k Program! We look forward to working with your family. We are going to have great year of learning. I absolutely love being an early childhood educator and have taught Pre-k for over 15 years 9 of those years at Speas. My wonderful assistant, Mrs.Odom and I believe in learning through play. It is our belief that Pre-k is the foundation for all future learning. Our goal in pre-k is to provide developmentally appropriate activities and experiences. As pre-k teachers, we are committed to providing an environment that fosters the development of the whole child-social/emotional, physical, intellectual, and language. While encouraging exploration of the environment we will also foster the development of each child’s ability to think,learn,and become lifelong learners.
