South is a school rich in tradition with a systematic approach to the basic skills. Through our traditional approach our students receive an excellent educational experience that is second to none. We know this by our MEAP scores coupled with other assessment devices such as teacher tests daily work teacher observations and how well our students do after they leave us. There is a high standard of excellence that everyone is expected to achieve when they either work at or attend our school. Our motto is “Respect Responsibility and Right to Learn.”
We have very involved parents. We average three to four thousand hours of volunteer time each school year. Rarely will you see parents not helping out at our school. Our PTC is providing support and leadership in many different capacities. We want our parents to be here and involved as much as they can possibly be.
South has become NCA accredited and has set goals to continue growth with student achievement. We have talented and dedicated staff terrific students involved parents a Student Council family nights Accelerated Reader strong community involvement and much more to offer you.
