South Church Day School

The program is based on goals, objectives, and activities aimed at providing a flexible, enriching environment that will facilitate the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of the children. The program is supervised at all times by experienced, certified staff.
Center-based classrooms provide creative, imaginative play, small and gross motor skills, art experiences, language development, and music and movement activities.
The preschool child needs easels, blocks, puzzles, dolls, trucks, art supplies, musical instruments, and a wide variety of equipment not standard for older children. Our program is based on these needs.
The primary goal is to help the child in a positive, active environment according to his or her individual needs. We seek to provide flexibility, time for activity, exploration, first-hand contact with rich concrete experiences and opportunities for active work, play, and conversation.
