Sherwood Elementary - SACC

The mission of Sherwood Elementary School is to prepare our students to read with understanding, write effectively, perform mathematical operations, and problem-solve real world situations in a safe and nurturing environment, so that by the end of their elementary school experience they can transition successfully into middle school preparing them to be productive, knowledgeable citizens capable of making good decisions.

We, at Sherwood Elementary School, envision a safe and nurturing learning community of parents, students, faculty, and community members where all children are challenged to reach their highest potential through quality work that integrates data-driven instruction, intensive instruction, incorporates technology, and provides opportunities for success. We believe that by “planting and nourishing” the seeds of growth for generations, our students will develop an appreciation of diversity and respect for self and others, prepared to emerge as lifelong learners and successful contributors to society.
