Primary School is a world of work and play for three and four year old students in mixed aged classrooms. There are typically eighteen students and two teachers in each room. Thematic curriculum includes the Open Court Phonics approach to language development and letter/sound recognition. In a language rich environment, the children gain a sense of community and responsibility within the classroom. Through exploration and interaction, the skills of counting, one-to-one correspondence, and the concepts of greater and lesser quantities are practiced every day. The children enjoy the special subjects of art, music, physical education, and Spanish each week. Library use is encouraged every day.
