Betty Patricia “Pat” Douglas has always loved and cared for children, including raising her own to adulthood.

Pat Douglas established Kids-R-Us Child Care, at 1498 Main Street in Forest City, North Carolina; in the year 2000, with two Weekday Shifts.

Kids-R-Us II Carousel opened it’s doors at 200 North Cleghorn in Rutherfordton, NC in May of 2005; the year Kids-R-Us Incorporated was also established.

A Second Shift was added at Kids-R-Us II Carousel in 2006.

In 2007, Kids-R-Us II Carousel added Weekend Care after great consideration and an expressed need from parents.

In 2011, Pat Douglas saw the need for a Licensed School Age facility in Rutherford County. A lot of hard work and determination preceded Ms Pat opening the doors of The Rutherford Young Scholars Program, for School Age Children in June of 2011, at 465 West Main Street in Spindale, NC.

Ms. Pat has consistanly hired Trained, Caring Professionals for all 3 locations and continues to provide Rutherford County with Superb Licensed Child Care.

We also offer optional Transportation Service to and from all 3 locations.
