Here at Childrens Corner we have preschool five mornings a week and offer lunch extended hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You will find us to be a warm caring environment where we learn and play and discover new things every day. Children will learn the alphabet letters, colors, shapes, & numbers. They write their names every day progressing to last names when appropriate. We use many different art mediums and they create a project every day.Staff are First Aid & CPR certified as well as college educated. We are also both parents and haveyears of experience working with children.

Since preschool is usually a childs first encounter with an unknown educational situation it is most important that the experience be shared in an atmosphere of love, warmth and care. Based on the idea that young children learn through play, we prepare the environment for children to learn through active exploration. Concrete, hands-on activities and experiences are carefully planned to provide meaningful learning and to allow children to develop at their own optimum rate, giving them a sense of security and to help the child begin to realize some of his/her own potential. Staff will help children transition and understand transitions between activities in the program. Staff, with parents permission will share information to make transitions easier for all children.
The daily schedule balances structured time and free choices, as well as active and quiet times. Stories, music, and rhythms are part of the program each day. Weather permitting, supervised outdoor time is another integral part of the curriculum.
