The Dysart Early Childhood Education Center exists to provide all children with the opportunity to learn and socialize within a safe and caring environment that promotes high quality, integrated, and developmentally appropriate activities that will prepare children for success.
Parents are a key part of our program. We strive to create a sense of community by accepting and respecting the values, diversity, and opinions of our children and parents.

- Special Needs:
- Dysart Unified School District offers free monthly screenings for in district 2.6 to 5 year old non-kindergarten children with possible special needs or handicaps.
The parent needs to be present with the child who is to be screened. We ask that siblings not come, as it is distracting to the children being screened.
The screenings address vision, hearing, motor, speech and language, self-help, cognitive, and social skills. The normal time to complete a screen is approximately an hour. - Preschool:

All of our preschool programs are based on the inclusive model. Children of all abilities and cultures attend school in the same
classroom. All classes will include typically developing preschoolers considered as role models and those with special needs.
The preschool philosophy at Dysart is we can all learn from one another.
