The Mead School Child Care Program is a play-based, hands-on, socially interactive learning environment. Engaging classroom spaces and caring responsive teachers are the foundation to our unique approach. We value each child as a developing human being, a life long learner, and an active participant in the learning process. At Mead, children spend much of their day engaged in active meaningful play, interacting with their peers, teachers, materials, and environment. In doing so, they construct meaning and knowledge from each experience and are naturally challenged to develop a foundation of social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Our approach provides a variety of experiences that are tailored to suit the needs of each childs unique learning style.

We understand that each child develops at his or her own unique pace and we work to create an environment that addresses each childs emotional, social and intellectual needs.
