Choosing a preschool is an important emotional and very personal decision and the correct choice is different for each child. As a parent, you want the best fit for your situation.

As the parents of three children ourselves (ages 13, 12 and 9), we know how important it is that you leave your child in a safe, loving, nurturing and friendly environment. Our first priority is your child and giving you peace of mind every day.

Goddard’s quality assurance program insists that, through unannounced inspections throughout the year, our School meet comprehensive and exhaustive standards that are well beyond the minimal state regulations. The QA inspector looks at our facility, teachers, lesson plans, record keeping and daily interactions with your children. No stone is left unturned and we are required to be 100% in compliance at all times.

No one treats teachers like we do. We know that the most important asset of our School is our teachers. Our faculty members are stable, happy, professional and well-trained. That is why the vast majority of our teachers measure their tenure in years. Once you work here, no other school measures up. We search for fun-loving, nurturing professionals who are highly qualified. Our lead teachers have four year degrees in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) and 90-hour childcare certifications. They develop their own lesson plans (no corporate syllabus) which allows our teachers to effectively teach to your child as opposed to simply executing a corporate defined curricula. We are proud of our curriculum as well. At The Goddard School, we believe in meeting the individual needs of each child through a balance of circle time lessons and center time activities with the goal of developing the whole child. Children make steady progress in cognitive and language skills while honing social skills, artistic expression and motor development. A variety of enrichment programs are included in our daily curriculum including sign language, Spanish, music, art, fitness, yoga, manners & life skills, world cultures, science and even dance. Included in your tuition is a weekly music & movement class taught by our award-winning teacher, Ms. Cheryl, a fitness & tumbling class taught by Rebounders Gymnastics and a sign language class for children of all ages.

We pride ourselves in providing a safe and secure facility that meets the developmental needs of your child. Our building has a variety of safety features along with bright sunlit classrooms with many windows and a clean, colorful and stimulating decor. We are especially excited about our spacious gymnasium that features no-slip rubber flooring and equipment specially designed to keep your children active on days when the weather keeps us indoors. Come climb our traversing rock wall or jam on the piano! We have two separate age-appropriate playgrounds with poured rubberized surfaces and grassy expanses designed to challenge and delight your children. No parking lot playgrounds!

The Goddard School will make a positive difference in your child’s life. Our warm, loving atmosphere features a year-round extended day program from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. This program is designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of your child from six weeks to six years of age. We also offer after-school enrichment and a summer camp program for children entering Kindergarten, First or Second grades.
