The staff of Escambia County Head Start is committed to providing a developmentally appropriate early childhood program for children to enhance their learning growth and development and to provide experience and training for parents which will extend the learning environment from school to home and enhance the quality of family life.
Our Goal -
The most important task in early early childhood is to help children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging them to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out new ideas or think their own thoughts. At Head Start our goal is to help children become independent self-confident inquisitive learners. We’re teaching them how to learn not just in preschool but throughout their lives.

A broad range of medical dental and mental health activities are provided to promote sound physical social and emotional growth and development.
