Thorton Elementary Preschool

Newton Conover City Schools provides services for students ages 3-5. Children qualifying for Exceptional Children services may be served in a preschool class, in a childcare setting, as a bring in to a central location or in their home. Placement in the Exceptional Children’s Program and the type of service is determined by the IEP team. Other services for young children in the Newton Conover School system include classroom placements for at-risk students (More at Four) and typically developing students. Qualifications for these programs are through an application process.
