Mount Kisco Child Care Center

Center in Mount Kisco, NY 10549

The mission of Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) is to provide high quality affordable care and early education to a diverse group of children in a safe and healthy environment.

MKCCC is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian child care organization established in 1971 after a study conducted by the Interfaith Council of Westchester recognized the need for quality child care in Mount Kisco. The Center began in November 1971 with rented classrooms in the United Methodist Church to care for the 25 three- and four-year old children enrolled in our program. The staff consisted of a Director, a Head Teacher, a Secretary and a Social Worker. Today the Center cares daily for 160 children, ages three months to eleven years, in nine classrooms and a staff of 45 in our own 20,000 square foot facility on Radio Circle Drive.

MKCCC provides childcare and early education to an ethnically, culturally and economically diverse group of children. Since our earliest days, the goal has remained the same – to nurture the possibility and potential of each and every child in our programs. Our dedicated teachers and staff create an environment which transforms this potential into reality, 5 days a week, all year round.

The Center also strives to promote each child’s intellectual, physical, emotional and social development, emphasizing feelings of self-esteem and confidence. We believe that caring for our children is an investment in the future of our community and remain truly grateful to our staff, families and supporters for believing in possibilities, too.

MKCCC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. We are governed by a volunteer-driven Board of Directors. The Center relies on several sources of funding including tuition, governmental fees and grants, the United Way and private contributions. Scholarship support is provided, based on the need and financial capability of each family. As tuition and fees do not fully cover operational costs, MKCCC conducts a year-round fundraising effort to close the gap and maintain the high-quality and affordable care as is our mission.
