Merryland has always been committed to selectively scrutinize and provide staffing that is qualified and capable of meeting the high standards set forth by Merryland. The teachers have training in current theories of child development. The curriculum is carefully planned to meet the needs of each child within a group setting. An emphasis is placed on individual social, emotional, physical and cognitive learning development. Activities are designed to stimulate and meet the children’s individual and group needs and are offered in a flexible, informal and stable atmosphere. Children are free to initiate activities, work at their own level, and to feel the excitement of accomplishment.
