Childrens Universe

In 1974 a young couple John and Linda Leax started an in home daycare in order to provide extra income for their own growing family. This small family business as well as their love for children grew over the years. Today their legacy of love and learning lives on! Now with 3 preschools and a 4th in the works John and Linda’s children are now running the schools they grew up in. With a firm commitment to continue their parents vision as well as providing a nurturing environment for their own children Heath Leax his wife Brooke and his sister Courtney Schindewolf run all four schools. Heath and Courtney grew up in Klein area. Brooke (Clunn) Leax grew up in the Montgomery/Lake Conroe area. All three attended Sam Houston State University and both the Leax and Schindewolf families are residents of Magnolia.

Children’s Universe has a carefully selected and experienced staff. All teachers caregivers and employees are FBI finger printed with a full background check to provide the safest environment possible. All caregivers are CPR and first aid certified.
Infant teachers are provided extra training in SIDS and SBS. Our teachers
and caregivers receive on going training to ensure that they are educated to
the latest child development research.
