Seton Hill Child Services exists as a support service to families with young children in Westmoreland County. We believe that the family is the foundation of a healthy happy society. Parents are and should always remain the primary caregivers and educators of their children. Families with a single parent who must work are strengthened when the parent has the freedom and opportunity to become employed or to take up training which will lead to future employment. Families in which parents choose to work in order to maintain marketable skills maintain a desired level of economic security or fulfill personal goals are similarly strengthened by parents having the opportunity to work.

A quality group experience in a loving accepting environment enhances the development of most children emotionally socially cognitively and physically. The bond between child and parent is often strengthened by the presence of a secondary caregiver. Time the working parent can spend with the child when treated as quality time is sufficient to satisfy the nurturing needs most children require of their parents. Health safety nutrition self help skills education parent involvement and the availability of social services are all essential aspects of a quality childcare program.
