The Goddard School is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM year-round, offering a variety of programs convenient for parents who want the proven advantages of a high quality preschool education for their children.
Our warm, loving atmosphere features an extended-day program designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of children from six weeks to five-years-old. We also offer summer and after-school enrichment programs for children up to eight years of age.
Our school is staffed with experienced teachers trained in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or Child Development who provide children with carefully planned educational and developmental programs that meet the needs of the ‘whole’ child.
Our state-of-the-art, custom designed building was planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. The building is a secure facility using a dedicated access code for each individual family to enter.
Our Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and full-day Kindergarten programs are licensed and Accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education as a private, non-public, school. We require our lead teachers to have a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education and prepare and teach an eight subject daily lesson plan with emphasis on language skills, math skills, science and nature as well as social studies. In addition, we teach a basic second language, and the children also enjoy a daily computer lab with their classroom computers using educational, age-appropriate software.
