Kids at Heart Child Care Center

Kids at Heart is open from 6AM to 6PM Monday Friday. We care for children from 6 weeks to school age. We provide child care center convenience with an at-home daycare feel. The best of both worlds!

Kids At Heart Child Care Center provides child care to supplement parental care. Parents and staff work together to determine each childs needs and how these needs are met at the Center.

The staff at the center is dedicated to providing an environment that encourages social development by providing opportunities for:

In interacting with the children, Kids and Heart staff strives to:

• Encourage emotional development through verbal expressions of thoughts and feelings, experiencing rules and limits, experiencing kindness, justice and empathy, and recognizing and accepting emotions in others.
• Develop a respect for other individuals.
• Develop responsibility for ones own actions in self-help, health, safety, and interpersonal areas, and to exercise appropriate independence.
• Encourage the physical development of large motor skills through outdoor and indoor games and activities, as well as fine motor development through the use of manipulative toys, blocks, puzzles, and other small tools and objects.
• Facilitate the development of visual-motor skills.
• Encourage creativity by offering any kinds of materials and frequent experience in music, art, dramatics, literature, and oral skills.
• Encourage interest in language through stories, puppetry, the housekeeping corner and its equipment, music, games, science materials, dramas, problem solving, and other conversations.
• Facilitate intellectual development by widening the childs experience in order to increase knowledge, basic concepts, and skills.
