The Center for Children and Families (CCF) is located in Brentwood, Tennessee. We provide full-time child care for children six weeks to five years old, in classrooms with experienced, loving teachers and excellent child/teacher ratios. Child-initiated, child-directed, and teacher-supported play is an essential component of our program.
The CCF uses Creative Curriculum for informal assessment and planning. Our curriculum is based on the philosophy that each child will learn best when he/she is developmentally ready to learn. It is CCFs goal to recognize the level of each individual child and to help prepare him/her for the next level. This is done by organizing our program in a way that allows for individual progression. Each classroom has separate centers for related activities. The centers are as follows: dramatic play, science, art, blocks, books and manipulative area.
In addition to developmentally appropriate classrooms, children will have two outside play times every day. Children will also participate in music classes, Spanish, and chapel times.
