Precious Ones Learning Center Mount Hope

We are an all-day Christian child care learning center with two locations to serve the Lawrence community. We are located at 6th and Monterey Way and our second location is on Mount Hope near the hospital. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. We care for children age 6 weeks to age 6 at Mount Hope location. We care for age 12 months to 12 years at our Monterey Way location.

We have four classrooms and two fenced-in playgrounds. Each classroom has a camera where parents can log in from work or on an app. on their phone and watch their children play and be assured that their kids are happy and well taken care of. Our facility is truly top notch with security cameras installed at each entrance and hallway. Our classrooms are small, so more one-on-one attention for your children. In fact, our classrooms are smaller than the capacity at most home day cares or other childcare centers in town! Our Monterey Way location consists of four classrooms – two toddler rooms and two preschool rooms.

We offer a nondenominational Bible-based Christian curriculum integrated with an educational curriculum tailored to each child’s abilities and parent’s goals. We provide services to ALL families regardless of faith or religious preference.

Our mission is to offer a Christian-based environment that will assist children to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Our goal is to be recognized in the community as leading and strengthening children and all families in a spirit of Christian faith. We will dedicate our lives to the safety and well-being of the precious lives left in our care.

Staff and Mission
Our centers are run by the executive director, on-site directors, and parent board members. Our staff here, at Precious Ones Learning Center, has a genuine love for children and teaching. They are all interviewed strictly with background checks before being hired on. Each classroom is led by the lead teacher. The lead teacher is responsible for implementing lesson plans which must be approved by the on-site director. The assistant teacher helps carry out those lesson plans and assists with the daily activities and scheduled events. Each staff member is required to have current cpr and first aid training as well as in-service hours required by the state.

Here at Precious Ones Learning Center, we believe learning should be fun, exciting, and a bit challenging! We provide a relaxed, child-centered environment which is inviting to the children. Our philosophy, ultimately, is that our center is a home away from home with lots of love and guidance. Our goal here is to begin to build a positive self-image for the children in our care where they will receive quality, personal, spiritual, and individualized care in a loving Christian environment.
