Parents Day Out is a Ministry of the First United Methodist Church that serves children and families in the greater Bloomington community. The goal of PDO is to provide high quality flexible and affordable child care for children birth through age five. The educational philosophy at PDO is child centered and developmentally appropriate and includes rich environments in which children can explore and learn about the world through play. The learning environment is a child-centered play-based learning environment. It is based on the knowledge that young children learn through their direct interactions with the environment and the people within it.
