Our Children's Community School

Our mission is to provide high quality and culturally, individually, and developmentally appropriate classroom experiences that foster comprehensive development across physical, cognitive, communication, social and emotional domains. Individualized planning is the key to success in our inclusive classes. Both the curriculum and the classroom environment, based on Montessori philosophy and methods and observation-based planning, offer opportunities for growth and success for each child. Through a combination of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities, we emphasize both critical thinking and collaborative learning.

COMMUNITY
The notion of community is circular for the families that make up our school: By building community within our classrooms and cooperating with colleges, universities, and community groups outside of our school, we will facilitate connectedness to the community at large for the children and families within our school. Our teachers are committed to partnerships with the families and open to idea sharing. Each child is unique and each family is valuable.
