Oak Forest After School Program

Oak Forest After School Program is a financially self supporting outreach ministry of Oak Forest United Methodist Church. Our goal is to offer quality, faith-based childcare at an affordable cost. The program provides experiences to help elementary-aged children develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. This goal is achieved by offering age-appropriate activities guided by experienced, caring staff.

Each day your child could expect to enjoy a nutritious snack, assistance with homework, moral focused Christian education, fun and learning through center-based classrooms, and plenty of room to run and play outside on our playground and ball fields, as well as in our gym. The programs successfully utilize positive reinforcement techniques for behavior based issues. We have a maximum of 33 children enrolled in our after school program with our staff of 3 teachers plus the Director.

Oak Forest After School Program operates Monday through Friday, 2:00pm-6:00pm throughout the school year. We provide full day care on teacher workdays and some holidays from 7:00am-6:00pm. Our service area includes Midway, Northwest, and Friedberg Elementary schools. Children who attend Midway Elementary arrive via school bus to Oak Forest ASP. We provide pickup service from Friedberg Elementary and Northwest Elementary.We will begin servicing 6th graders at the new Oak Grove Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year.
