The goal of our program is to supplement and to reinforce the care provided by the parents and to provide a wide variety of positive learning experiences that further the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child. The development of a good self-image is essential to being a happy and confident individual.
We believe that the relationship developed between the teacher and the child has a great effect on the development of the child’s personality. Therefore, teachers shall exhibit to each child qualities of: understanding and awareness of individual needs, creativity, and loving disciplinary action, which enables learning to be an exciting experience.
We also assume the theory that children learn by playing and doing, and that a happy, positive preschool experience is the best preparation for the school years to come. Oak Creek Community Preschool strives for a strong balance between socialization and academics.
