Niota Elementary Pre-kindergarten

It’s hard to believe but it’s that time of the year again – the beginning of a new school year. Welcome back! And while you aren’t part of the teaching staff you are just as important to your childs education.
Your child will receive the best education when you and our dedicated teachers work as a team. It’s a parents enthusiasm, support and involvement that inspires a child to do his/her best; and a teacher’s training to teach that helps students learn skills. Together we can achieve wonderful things!
There’s a lot of excitement ahead of us, including new teachers and friends to meet, new books to read, and new skills to master…and I look forward to you sharing in those exciting times.
As a parent myself, I know how fast time goes by. One year your child is in 1stgrade and seemingly in the blink of an eye he/she is in middle school, or in the senior year of high school or college.

We had an exciting year of ahievements, successes, and milestones at Niota last year. We are committed to
continuing improvement and increased student achievement. You will see an emphasis on literacy, more rigorous math and higher order thinking. Our goal is for your child to be challenged and fully engaged in learning.
In closing, your childs teacher and I urge you to take the time from your busy
schedule to become familiar with our school, and create a homework-friendly home environment that will allow your child to excel.
