New Hope Christian Academy is an urban college preparatory school providing students with a challenging
intellectual and spiritual education grounded in the knowledge of God as uniquely revealed in Jesus Christ
and attested to in the Scriptures.
New Hope Christian Academy places a unique emphasis upon the immediate community in which the
school is located and seeks to provide the highest standards for intellectual and spiritual learning by
working closely with each student, their family, and their church within the community. Our goal is to equip
each child with the necessary tools to effectively pursue the vocation to which the Lord will lead them.
Emphasis is placed on high school graduation and the pursuit of a college education.

- We believe our ultimate goal is that each student know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord and then impact their world for Him.
- We believe students should be exposed to a college preparatory core curriculum which includes an appreciation for reading, science, mathematics, fine arts, physical education, Biblical life application, and technology.
- We believe our school should be an extension of, not a replacement of, the Christian home; thereby establishing a united partnership among all stakeholders.
- We believe a Christ-centered curriculum and academic excellence can co-exist.
- We believe ongoing professional development is an essential component in providing developmentally appropriate curriculum for our students.
- We believe effective communication (oral and written) is a critical lifelong skill.
- We believe students have varied learning styles and benefit from diverse teaching strategies.
- We believe students improve their academic and behavioral performance when challenged by high expectations in a supportive Christian environment.
- We believe students should be immersed in Biblical study, in praise and worship, and in meaningful relationships with Christian role models.
- We believe students should be provided an emotionally and physically safe environment.
- We believe students self-esteem is enhanced through the development of positive relationships, core values, and cooperative behavior.
- We believe students should develop an understanding of global issues and the importance of becoming a Christian servant in their school, home, community, city, country, and world.
