I believe learning should take place with hands-on activities, not forced through worksheets. I encourage each child to grow as an individual and at their own pace. Because each child is unique, they tend to respond to a particular learning style or styles better than others. Therefore it is important at an early age to expose them to multiple ways of learning rather than taking a cookie cutter approach which may occur in a more commercialized setting. Classes take place in a warm, nurturing environment and my goal is to stimulate each child’s desire to learn.

The focus of this program is exploration, discovery, creativity and the development of the whole-child. Your child will have many opportunities to grow and develop creatively, physically, socially and cognitively. They will have the opportunity to develop socially by interacting with classmates and practicing the skills of sharing, taking turns, understanding compromise, and friendship. They will develop cognitively by exploring, manipulating, and making conclusions about how things work in the world around them. In addition, your child will be exposed to basic pre-reading, handwriting, math skills, and engaging literature through interactive storytime. Music, Dramatic Play, Center Activities and Arts and Crafts will encourage verbal expression and creativity.
The program will be enhanced by the inclusion of thematic units to add interest and variety. You will be notified monthly of the upcoming themes and activities.
