Mill Brook Country Day School Inc. has been family owned for 48 years. Mrs. Yvonne Dahlberg established the Mill Brook Country Day School in 1962. The school was bought and incorporated in 1986 by her daughter Mrs. Janine E. King. Mrs. King has been teaching in the school since 1967 and has been director since the incorporation. Along with other staff, Mrs. King’s two daughters, Justine Sutton and Emily Vieira, strive to educate and nurture young children.

The objective of the Mill Brook Country Day School Inc. is to provide children with an initial experience in interrelating with other children and adults outside their own home environment. The school strives to promote the child’s physical, mental, social, and emotional development through the provision of interesting, varied and stimulating materials and experiences.
We try to determine the needs of the individual child and structure our program to enable each child to develop and learn at his/her own growth rate. We provide a full happy learning environment, which aids in the child reaching their fullest potential. Parents and teachers all share in the responsibility of helping the child to make this all-important adjustment. Working cooperatively will encourage those positive attitudes and habits, which will ensure the right beginnings.
