Our purpose is to provide day care services, nursery school experiences and after school care for the children in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Children’s Center is an integral program of First Baptist Church and relates with other church programs through appropriate church committees and structure.
Under responsible supervision and guidance, the emphasis of the program is focused on the total development of the child as it relates to his or her physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development

Our Day Care and Nursery School programs are designed to provide preschool readiness activities to the children in our care. We make every effort to provide a wide variety of activies to promote the development of the total child.
Each teacher has a daily lesson plan with age appropriate activites that balance the child’s physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spirtiual development. In addition, the children have a library story hour each month as well as a visit from the bookmobile.
The four and five year olds are invited to participate in Kindermusik, and the full day four and five year olds, in gymnastics. Field trips and visiting community resource personnel and professionals help round out the preschool exprience.
In all we do, we try to instill in the children a respect for God, family, friends and themselves.
