Majestic Harbor Community School

The mission of Majestic Harbor Children’s Center is to create a warm, nurturing environment where childen can learn and thrive, feeling safe and cherished. We believe children learn best through hands-on self-discovery. We also believe children should be exposed to all aspects of knowledge within their level of understanding, from the arts and sciences, to language and physical and social skills.

Majestic Harbor Children’s Center in Gloucester was started in 1995 by Beth Costanzo, the founder of the Adventures of Scuba Jack – a preschool educational program. In June, 2010 Stacey Cook acquired Majestic Harbor and now serves as owner-director. She comes to the school well-prepared, having been director of five pre-schools in North Carolina and Massachusetts.

Majestic Harbor Children’s Center expanded in 2012 with the acquisition of the former Run A Muck Childcare Center in Rowley, MA, acquired from founder Lauren Romagnoli.

Both schools focus on learning. Through hands-on, age-appropriate activities, each child is encouraged to explore their surroundings and develop communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills. We acknowledge and encourage the individual learning styles and needs of each child.

Our program strives to encourage respect for all people. Our teachers create projects, read books and do activities that celebrate different traditions and beliefs. The children are also encouraged to respect each other, work together, share and interact through directed play

In order for children to succeed and grow both academically and socially, they must be in a place where they can be themselves; a warm, comfortable environment where they feel accepted and safe. A place filled with love and trust. A happy place. That place is Majestic Harbor Children’s Center.
