Cooperative preschools are organized by families with similar philosophies who hire a trained teacher to provide their children with a quality preschool experience. The preschool is administered and maintained by the parents. The parents assist the professional teacher in the classroom on a rotating basis and participate in the educational program of all the children. However we also now offer a non-assist option to accommodate families with circumstances that dont allow them to be in the classroom. Each family shares in the business operation of the school thus making it truly a cooperative venture. Parents preschool children and their teachers all go to school together and learn together.

We offer the best opportunity for quality individualized attention and communication since our ratio is one adult per only six children. Children develop their cognitive and language skills large motor skills and are exposed to concepts like shapes counting the calendar and the weather. Our early literacy program gives them a foundation to become successful readers. They learn about their community through field trips guest presenters and participation in service projects. Little Indian Preschool’s changing classroom themes help students receive a well-rounded preschool experience to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
