Preschool in Mattapoisett, MA 02739
Lighthouse Learning Centers are committed to providing high quality early childhood care and education programs here in Southeastern Massachusetts. We know how difficult it is for parents to find a childcare center that they trust…where their children are safe, encouraged, and nurtured. We’re here in partnership with you, our parents, to “guide your child’s future”.
The first Lighthouse Learning Center was founded in 2001 by Richard & Melanie Reilly of Mattapoisett. Jane Lees, Director of our New Bedford facility, approached Richard Reilly (her brother) to purchase a childcare service located in New Bedford that was having financial trouble. After one month of ownership the center was well on its way and has continued to do well ever since. The New Bedford center services many families who cannot afford childcare and assists them with vouchers and other financial programs.
In August 2002, the Reilly’s purchased another site in their home town, Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, after observing the need for quality childcare for families in the surrounding towns. After many months of renovations the Mattapoisett center, previously a nursing home, opened in August of 2003. With wonderful, dedicated teachers and staff the school has continued to grow and provide the best quality care for children and families.

Working parents are often faced with the difficult task of locating childcare services that meet their work demands along with the developmental needs of their children. We believe Lighthouse Learning Center meets this criteria. We realize that childcare should be designed to satisfy parental resources as well as provide a developmentally appropriate environment for children from 1 month through school age.
Lighthouse Learning Center offers a relaxed setting geared to the needs and interests of each child. We consider individual and special abilities as well as family cultural patterns. The children are free to learn by playing and exploring in our stimulating classrooms.
