L.S.D. #65 - Littleton Elementary School Preschool

We help meet the needs of our children through specialized, child centered curriculum. Preschool games, stories, and imaginary play, allow us to individualize instruction and create developmentally appropriate activities that are created from the students’ interests, and help each child develop abilities, build confidence and self esteem. Each child is able to learn and grow in a positive, language rich environment, while developing their skills and gaining independence.

We have an open-door policy if you would like to come observe, or volunteer in our class. Come see all the things we do at preschool!

The State Department of Education recognizes the following areas of developmental delays for children ages 3 to 5 who are not eligible for or currently enrolled in Kindergarten:

Cognitive Skills: Thinking, Concepts, Reasoning

Motor Skills: Large Muscle Movement, Small Muscle Movement

Sensory Skills: Hearing, Vision

Speech/Language Skills: Talking, Understanding

Psychosocial Skills: Social Skills, Play Skills

Adaptive Skills: Eating, Dressing Toileting

Moderately Developmentally Delayed (PMD): moderate delays in two or more areas

Severely Developmentally Delayed (PSD): severe delays in one or more areas

Speech/Language Impaired (PSL): at least moderate delays in speech/language skills or pronunciation errors that affect intelligibility

Hearing Impaired (HI): a hearing impairment that interferes with educational performance

Vision Impaired (VI): a vision impairment that interferes with educational performance
