Our Preschool and Prek classrooms use a theme based curriuclum design by our longtime teachers. They incorperate Pure and Complete Phonics developed by Dr. Nash. The Phonics program is designed to help every unique learning style including dislexia. It is a valuable tool for emerging readers to have a start in reading which in turn gives them a irreplacable love for reading.
Our Christian foundation is woven into the curriculum through the integration of stories, themes, respect and love for one another. They also participate in a once a week chapel geared to their group.
Our Childcare Center uses Creative Curriculum for Infant/Toddlers and twos and Creative Creative Curriculum for Preschool. Creative Curriculum is an excellent tool for teachers to help children acquire social competency. The curriculum enables teachers to assess the devlopment through ages and stages of development. It helps children develop in four key areas-socail/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.
The teacher engages in observing, guiding learning, and assessing practices. The Creative Curriculum enables children to excel educationally and also respects the way that they develop and grow.
