To lead us toward our vision, our school community believes that we must:

Create a friendly and differentiated environment where all students can learn according to their individual needs and learning styles. Produce independent learners who are self-motivated and eager to develop their character as well as their intellectual abilities. Create a learning environment where all students feel successful, safe and responsible for learning. Grow as a community of diverse lifelong learners who are committed to providing optimal learning experiences for all students. We will be dedicated to the implementation of multiple teaching strategies, best practices, and will seek proven research-based techniques, in an effort to propel JWES to a School of Excellence status. Focus on student needs and creating a student-centered environment in which all members of our learning community strive for excellence. We will provide a learning environment in which all students take an active role in learning and are safe, nurtured, and challenged. As a result of this, students will acquire tools that will allow them to be productive citizens in life. Operate as a caring school community, where all members share, learn and teach each other. We set high goals, individually and as a group, and aim to reach them using the many different backgrounds and intelligences that we have. We believe a safe, supportive and engaging school will build a wide and solid foundation for the young people who pass through.
